This picture gallery and video show a selection of buskers in Bournemouth town centre, taken and videoed by myself.
The pictures and video both display that the public and local residents just pass buskers by and don’t pay attention to their attempts of entertaining the people for a small sum of money in return.
Having given each of the buskers £1, I could see in their collections of money that there was not enough to help those individuals, especially at this time of year.
The video contains footage taken in Bournemouth town centre of a Michael Banks, 44, from Winton, playing the guitar and busking outside a shop on Commercial Road, showing not one member of the public stopping to listen or donate money.
The gallery contains pictures of the other performers I interviewed, James Hill, 29, from Poole, playing guitar on Old Christchurch Road and Mason, 27, drawing street art on Old Christchurch Road, as well as Michael Banks, playing guitar and singing for the public.
