The YMCA is in partnership with the Bournemouth University to give 250 students a chance to experience what it is like to be homeless.
The subjected time for the experiment will be mid-March 2016, from 7PM to 7AM.
The confirmed venue is Asda car park, St Paul Road, Bournemouth opposite student accommodation, Dorchester House.
Each student will have a task to raise a minimum fund of £500 and all proceeds will go to the YMCA Bournemouth Room Sponsorship Programme, which works to provide support to the homeless people in the surrounding area.
The YMCA is working closely with BU’s marketing society to tailor and produce different activities.
The activities suggested are producing a video diary where the participants will record and share their thoughts throughout the night.

Asda and local businesses are donating hundreds of boxes to the students, which they will then decorate and use them to sleep on.
Prizes will be given out for the best decorated boxes and some food and water will be provided for the students.
Cady Misu who works for YMCA has said that this will be “the biggest (Sleep Easy) event in England.”
Sleep Easy is not only an open eye experience but to have fun and build friendship.”
Students and volunteers from Bournemouth University have worked closely with YMCA before, most recently for their successful efforts gaining over £600 at Tesco.
A wide variety of societies got involved to help pack customers’ shopping and raise as much money as possible for the charity.
