An elderly pedestrian has died today after a collision in Wareham last week, Dorset Police have confirmed.
The 76 year old man was rushed to hospital following the crash which happened on January 19 in Howard’s lane and involved a black Vauxhall Astra.
Dorset Police confirmed that he died earlier today after sustaining serious head injuries.
Police Constable Kevin Adlem, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or the manner of driving of the Astra before the collision to please call me on 101.”
The Vauxhall Astra driver, a local woman in her 70s, was uninjured.
No arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
