A man who died after a collision in Wareham last week has been named as Reverend Colin Hodge.
Reverend Hodge was a prominent community figure and served as council leader for 8 years.
The collision took place on January 19th in Howard’s Lane around midday, and the 76 year old Reverend was taken to Poole hospital after suffering serious head injuries.
Unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital on January 24th.
His family released a statement today:
“We are all devastated at the loss of Colin and he will be missed so much by everyone who knew him.
“He was a well-known figure in his local community and we wish to thank all those who assisted at the time of the incident and the medical teams at Poole Hospital that cared for him prior to his death.”
