The Good Food Guide is the most popular and best selling guide in the UK and has been running since 1951. It reviews restaurants, pubs and cafes in the UK so people can find the best places to go out and eat.
A Waitrose Good Food Guide spokesman has described West Beach as a “perfect neighbourhood eatery serving freshly cooked food; somewhere that we all wish we had on our doorsteps”.
The sea front restaurant was also featured in the 2014 Good Food Guide, and was named as one of the ten best seaside restaurants in 2012.
West Beach was the only Bournemouth restaurant to be featured in the guide this year. Martin Pacholarz, head chef at West Beach, is thrilled to have been included in the guide once again. He told Buzz News:
We are delighted to be included, our hard work has paid off. I think being in a Good Food Guide will have a good impact on us. We deserve it, we cook good food. Good, modern food.
West Beach offers diners a variety of dishes from breakfast pancakes or locally sourced fish at dinner time.
The contemporary restaurant allows customers to watch the chefs as they cook up the food right infront of their eyes, it also opens out to a terrace where diners can sit outside and enjoy the sea view and the pier.
One regular diner at West Beach told Buzz: “I think it is absolutely fantastic, they do absolutely sublime food and I enjoy eating here. The staff are lovely too.”
I think it will bring some more business to the town and it will bring more tourism which is great for the local restaurants and their food. Everyone should taste it – it’s super.
