Bournemouth’s Matt Worthington has signed a new contract extension that will keep him on the south coast until 2018.
Worthington has been at the club since joining the under 14s, having previously been at Portsmouth and Southampton.
The 19-year-old has been training with the first team as of late, and will be hoping to break his way into the match day squad as soon as possible.
This news comes at the same time as fellow youngster Sam Surridge signs a contract extension with The Cherries.
18-year-old Surridge, considered to be a talented striker, will also be contracted with the club until 2018.
Surridge was on loan with Poole Town from last summer until January, and was rewarded with a new contract based on his displays with the local club.
Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth’s first team squad are up against Crystal Palace next.
The game will take place at Vitality stadium on Tuesday the 31st January.
