The supreme court ruled today that wheelchair users have priority over buggies on buses.
This court ruling means that bus drivers need to accommodate more for wheelchair users. This will effect buses all over the country including Yellow buses and Morebuses in Bournemouth.
Abi Simpson from Buzz went to Bournemouth town centre to see what the local public thought about this ruling.
Abbie Scott from Bournemouth who has an 18 month son said: “I would probably do it automatically anyway. There is space on two sides of the bus so you can have wheelchairs and push chairs on both sides. Bus drivers shouldn’t be afraid to enforce it.”
