Boscombe is known for its high crime rates, anti-social behaviour and its overall bad perception. A new program is finally starting this month to remove the bad stigma and reputation.
The Perception Partnership scheme put together by Inspector Alan Setchell from Dorset Police, with the support of Bournemouth Borough Council, is looking to improve Boscombe’s image.
Efforts will be put together by residents, volunteers and local authorities in order to make the area a brighter place though exhibitions and events. In addition to this, they will release strategy for fighting crime.
But what do the people of Boscombe think about the state of the town and how the Perception Partnership could improve how the area is viewed? BUzz went out on the streets of Boscombe to find out just that.
