A report recently revealed there is a serious lack of nurses who care for dying children at the end of their life in the UK. Charlotte Callear investigates why there is this shortage and the consequences of it in Shortfalls of Short Lives.

It is a traumatic experience for families who are expected to care for their child with a life limiting illness whilst making their last moments special. Yet if that is inconceivable, imagine the effect it has on nurses who have to care for dying children for a living. Find out if the job is really what it means and why there is the shortage.
