AFC Bournemouth bosses are putting together a shortlist of new sites ahead of the proposed move from the Vitality stadium.
The Premier League club are looking to make the move ahead of the 2020/21 season, after plans for the move were announced in December last year.
Buzz understands that AFC Bournemouth’s preferred locations for the new stadium are Chapelgate and Canford Arena.
Chapelgate is a 65 acre sporting venue situated in Christchurch. Canford Arena is currently home to a multi-functional all weather arena located on Magna Road.
Bournemouth have played at Vitality Stadium, previously Dean’s Court, since 1910, but it was sold to Structadene in 2005 in a sale-and-leaseback deal.
When the plans for a new stadium were first announced the club expressed frustration about buying back the current stadium from the London based property group.
The Cherries currently pay £300,000 to Structadene annually in rent.
