Bournemouth University students held a 3-hour protest on Wednesday to show their disapproval of President Trump’s planned state visit to the U.K.
Students protested peacefully, chanting as they marched around both Bournemouth University and the Arts University of Bournemouth.
Donald Trump was handed the invitation by Theresa May on behalf of the Queen when the Prime Minister visited the states last week.
University students followed the example of many others from around the country reacting to the President’s ban which barred citizens of 7 different countries from entering the U.S.
The ban came in last week, blocking anyone traveling into the U.S from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen.
The so called ‘Muslim ban‘, has been heavily criticized by many around the world, with many keen to point out that the ban excludes countries who have some of the worst records of human rights abuses, such as Saudi Arabia.
Protests such as this look set to continue, as President Trump continues to make waves within his first fortnight in office.
