Employed By Depression is a 7 minute audio documentary exploring how young people cope in full time work with depression. With stories of people’s experiences, insights from mental health professionals and looking into discrimination – the stigma around depression in the work place is a key topic that needs to be discussed.
Depression can stop a person living their normal life. A common cold, however, is treated as medically more acceptable to cause a day off from work than depression, despite 1 in 5 sick-days taken in the UK being due to mental health issues. Employed By Depression shows light on the struggle of being a full time worker while battling depression, explores the laws and rules around it and the help that is available.
