Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has faced criticism over claims that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was working with training journalists in Iran.
Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been detained in Iran since April last year for allegedly plotting to topple the Iranian regime.
Her family have raised concern that these new claims from Johnson may jeopardise her release and might even double her five-year sentence.
Johnson has since retracted his comments, saying that he only condemned the Iranian view that training journalism is a crime, not that Zaghari-Ratcliffe was engaging in such activity.
