Bournemouth Council are proposing to introduce Public Spaces Protection Orders within Bournemouth Town Centre, issuing consultation surveys to residents.
The proposal hopes to make it a criminal offence for ‘unreasonable behaviour’ from anyone aged 16 or above around Bournemouth Town Centre. Residents and businesses will be able to consult the council about which behaviours will be deemed “unreasonable”.
Breaching the protection order would result in a fixed £100 penalty.

The consultation survey, seeking to provide insight or alternative options for the proposal, is available to complete online until December 4th.
