Bournemouth locals of all ages participated in the second annual Reindeer Run on Saturday 9th December, in aid of Bournemouth Hospital Charity.
After the success of the event in 2016, the run returned this year to get all attendees in the festive spirit, while raising money for the charity at the same time.
Sporting antlers and flashing red noses, around 200 runners were involved in the charity event.
The 5K run started at Boscombe pier, continued along the Bournemouth sea front and ended back at the starting point in Boscombe.
A high turnout to fundraising events organised by the charity ensures that quality care and facilities are provided for patients.
This year’s Reindeer Run was an important step in the charity’s aims of going beyond what the NHS normally fund.
There are plans for another Reindeer Run next Christmas to raise even more money for Bournemouth Hospital Charity.
Fundraising events for the charity have previously contributed to developing The Jigsaw Building and The Orchard Garden at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Without the funds from Bournemouth Hospital Charity, these projects would not have been feasible.
