A new scheme has been launched by Dorset Police called Ask NED.
Ask NED is a Non-Emergency Directory. It is a new service on Dorset Police’ website which allows you to search for answers to your enquiries online instead of ringing the police.
The service includes Ask the Police database and common questions that are asked to their partner organisations.
Our new non-emergency directory, Ask NED, is here! It is a service that enables you to search for answers to your enquiry online and offers advice and contact details of those who can help. Click on the link below and take a look and see! #DoitOnline

Ask NED was originally started by Devon and Cornwall police in 2017, with Teignmouth and Dorset Police following them with the scheme.
The system now allows people to find out information from how to make alarms more secure to how to report if you get bitten by a dog.
For more serious enquiries, contact the police by phone on 999 or 101.
