There has been an increase in burglaries in the Bournemouth and Christchurch area as of late.
Last night Woodpecker Café in Bournemouth was the latest property targeted by thieves.
It is said that the offenders got in via the changing room toilets and then made their way upstairs to the café.
The building is fully alarmed and fitted with CCTV, which may have scared the offenders off as they chose to break down the doors into the café and then scarper without stealing anything.
Recently there was a similar incident at Cherrie’s Cafe in Boscombe where thieves smashed windows and stole £20, as we reported here.
Similarly, on Monday night the owner of the Nisa convenience store in Christchurch was threatened at knifepoint but refused to give over any money.
But just an half an hour later a ‘linked’ robbery saw a thief steal money, alcohol and cigarettes.
All incidents have been reported to Dorset Police but no arrests have been made.
