British Museums are funding a new online venture to create social networking communities for art lovers.
Museums including the Victoria and Albert, The Tate Gallery and the British Museum are investing £1.5m to create the social networking website.
Along with finding information about exhibitions, members will be able to form an online community to share their historic and creative interests.
Carolyn Royston of the Victoria and Albert Museum said ” What we want is people to be inspired and talk to each other.”
The calibration of a handful of the UK’s famous museums will act as an online scrapbook and meeting place for visitors. Expanding the popularity of the tourist attraction’s even further by appealing to a 21st century audience.
