The FA are to inject £230m into a grass roots football project that will see Bournemouth’s facilities and coaching improved.
But first to some statistics. The English Premier League according to transfermarkt.com is made up of 68.5% foreign players. Chelsea, this year’s Champions League Semi Finalists have over £85 million worth of players sent out on loan with less than £2 million of these being English players. This means that rather than bringing through players from the club’s academy to fill in the areas outside the first eleven players are being brought in and limiting the opportunities for these players.
