Although it is possible to upload audio directly to BUzz, we advise uploading to Soundcloud and then embedding the audio within story – this way Soundcloud handles all the encoding for you and you will have a portfolio of all your audio in one place.
Soundcloud provides the perfect platform to easily record and upload audio. By creating an account at www.soundcloud.com you can not only upload audio tracks and embed them in Posts on the BUzz website, but also create a portfolio of recordings that can easily be shared through social media and other services.
In an internet browser, navigate to www.soundcloud.com
To begin using Soundcloud you either need to create an account or sign in with your Facebook account.
If you decide to login with Facebook, you’ll have to give permission for the Soundcloud app to be installed on your account.
You will also need to give permission for Soundcloud to access your Google account if you decide to login in with this account .
If you decide to create an account on Soundcloud, youll need to enter a Username and a Password and agree to the Soundcloud terms & conditions.
To configure your Profile on Soundcloud click on the Three Dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
On this page you can configure your Username & Profile link, upload a Profile image and enter any other user details you wish
To begin adding audio to your account, click on the Upload button in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click on the Start new recording button if you have a microphone attached to your computer and want to record a piece straight away.
Or if you already have a file recorded, click on the Choose file to Upload button. Soundcloud will accept AIFF, WAVE, FLAC, OGG, MP2, MP3, AAC, AMR and WMA files.
After (or even whilst) the file is uploaded, you can add basic info to your file to provide more details about the audio and make it easier to find.
All files needs to have a Title and at least 1 Tag added before they can be saved. In this window you can also attach an image to your audio and add a description
If you click on the Permissions tab, you can control whether Soundcloud members can comment on your audio, whether it can embedded and more.
Click on the Save button once you have added all the necessary information to your file.
Now your file has been uploaded, you can embed it into a Post on BUzz – to begin Click on the Share button.
there are two ways to embed the Soundcloud track into BUzz:
1. From the Share tab copy the URL for your Soundcloud track.
2. From the Embed tab, pick a player style and copy the embed code (the correct code should start <iframe – do not tick the WordPress code option)
To embed into your Post on BUzz:
1. If you copied the URL, in the Visual Editor paste the URL on to a blank like – WordPress will know its an audio file and will transform it from a link to Soundcloud player.
2.If you copied the Embed Code, in the Text editor, place your cursor in your Post where you want the audio embedded and paste in the copied code.
Click Save Draft in the Publish panel and then Preview to view how your audio looks.
