The results of a survey conducted by 100 participants, suggesting the awareness of Equine Assisted Therapy. Whilst, also looking into how many people would be willing to try an “alternative” therapy.
Hearing the Horses’ voice investigates into the possibility that we as humans can connect and “heal” horses through Horse Healing and Communication and Horse Whispering. By speaking to Horse Healers and Communicators this project finds out more about what is involved in this practice. By interviewing horse owners who have tried these methods Faith in Horses seeks to find out the impact these therapies have had on their relationship with their horse.
Equine Assisted Therapy has been associated with helping people with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities. This video shows this alternative therapy take place at Misty Meadows and The Diamond Centre. Faith in Horses looks into the impact this therapy has on those involved, and seeks to find out what they think of this form of therapy.
An investigation into whether interacting with horses can help people emotionally, especially those who have suffered from trauma, through the use of audio. Jo Corfield believes that horses helped her cope with a severe eating disorder, whilst Shirani Situnayke discusses how she feels these creatures helped her through a battle with drugs and alcohol.
“Faith in Horses” is an investigation into the possible relationship between humans and horses. Looking into how we can communicate with these beings, through Horse Healing and Communication and Horse Whispering. Whilst, also exploring into the idea that horses can help people through emotional trauma, and improve a person’s wellbeing including those who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
