Praise for valiant YMCA staff during Storm Emma

Selfless staff at the YMCA have been praised by colleagues. With their efforts to help the vulnerable being described as ‘brilliant’ during Storm Emma.

Walking miles to the hostel on Westover Road, in temperatures that dropped as low as -5, staff were determined to continue their work and help those in need.

After the Severe Weather Protocol was triggered, rough sleepers in Bournemouth and Poole were provided with emergency accommodation provided by volunteers.
