A Little Secret

December 13, 2018 //  by Laura Norman-Phipps//  Leave a Comment

A Little Secret is a radio documentary produced by Laura Norman-Phipps about victimisation in the care system.

This documentary has been created to fit within the style of BBC Radio 4’s File on 4.

This documentary contains sensitive content which some listeners may find difficult to hear.

In recent months, the care system has appeared in the news more frequently in regards to the increased number of reports of abuse and it’s supposed lack of care.

In this documentary, Laura heard from a victim of abuse within foster care, a family member of two people who have experienced abuse in care homes, an ex-healthcare assistant in an hospital and someone who is currently in foster care but has had a positive experience.

Laura investigates what is being done to prevent victimisation in the care system after hearing the stories of abuse.

Will it ever stop?
