By 2025, Europe’s leading allergy centre predicts half of us will suffer from at least one allergy. Josh Wilde speaks to those already affected, explores the reasons behind this startling increase and looks at what research is being done to combat this allergy epidemic.

This documentary is part of a major final-year University project. It has been created for BBC Radio 1’s Stories feature, which encompasses short, impactful documentaries shown on BBC iPlayer. The interviewees have been chosen with this in mind as both allergy sufferers fall in Radio 1’s target age range (15-29).

To watch the 7-minute documentary, click here to view it on YouTube or watch through the embedded video below! Remember to watch the end credits for a special video message from one of our interviewees.
