Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a local woman, aged in her 50s, was approached by a man wearing nothing except for a purple Santa hat, a beige rucksack and shoes.
The incident happened around 4:15pm on January 4th in Rempstone Forest, Corfe Castle, where the man had walked towards her from the opposite direction.
The man is described to be in his early to mid-40s, with short mousy hair, facial stubble, an athletic build and very tanned. His height is estimated to be around 5ft 7 and his accent appeared to be local.
It is believed that the man had parked a small white or beige van, with a chequered black and white flag painted on the door, near a private road sign near Corfe Castle towards Studland Road.
The woman then later called the police after the situation.
Another woman has also reported a similar sighting of a naked man, on the same day, in the same area.
Police Constable Jackie Kearle from Dorset Police said: “We are investigating this incident to establish what, if any, offences were committed.
“I would ask the man involved, or anyone who knows who he is, to please contact Dorset Police so we can establish more details.”
