The ongoing £11.7 million road improvements at Townside area between Poole Bridge and Hunger Hill began on October 8 and will take nine months to complete.
Works involve the reconfiguration of the Hunger Hill junction for more efficiency.
The change of traffic direction is to create more direct and safe routes for pedestrians and cyclists. As a result, motorist journey times will be more reliable.
Roadworks continue after the road opening for the Christmas break.
