Poole Town welcome Dorchester Town to The Black Gold Stadium in the Southern League tonight.
The Dolphins sit 12th in the league with 30 points, just three more than tonight’s opposition, but this game could hold more significance for Poole manager Tom Killick, as the game marks his 800th game in charge of the side.
However, Killick has detracted attention from his own achievements, saying that the three points for the club are more important.
He said: “Fourteen or 15 years ago, I never expected to get this far. We’ve had a bit of a difficult season so far, so the fact that it’s my 800th game should be left to one side”.
Poole haven’t won any of their last five games – form that has seen them fall away from the upper reaches of the division.
“A win tonight would be reason enough to celebrate. Obviously 14 or 15 years ago, I never expected to get this far,” Killick added.
