Free teabags handed out by Samaritans at Bournemouth Station for Blue Monday

January 20, 2020 //  by BethanyDean//  Leave a Comment

Teabags
Petr Kratochvil

Teabags have been handed out to the public at Bournemouth station and across the country today, trying to cheer people up in a campaign they’ve called #BrewMonday – a play on Blue Monday.

The charity has been out in full force to lift spirits, giving out teabags along with a card containing their 24/7 hotline number, in light of today being statistically considered the most depressing day of the year.

They are hoping to raise their profile and make their services known, as Julie – who was involved today’s campaign – explains.

If you or anyone else you know is struggling with their mental health, please contact the Samaritans on their 24/7 helpline – from any phone at any time – on 116 123.
