Beat the January blues this weekend with a number of  fun and family-friendly events happing across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

Whether your ears are after laughter or soothing symphonies, BUZZ has you covered.

Sandi Toksvig at The Lighthouse 

Tonight, Sandi Toksvig will be coming to Poole’s Lighthouse with her new, one-woman comedy show. After recently announcing she is stepping down from her role on the Great British Bake Off , the half- Danish comedian is kicking off 2020 with a tour of her show, ‘Nation Trevor’. With dates across the UK in January and February, expect tall stories, fascinatingly funny facts and quick fore jokes.

Tonights show at the Lighthouse will start at 7:30pm. You can purchase tickets at the Lighthouse ticket website.

The Music of Prince – New Purple Celebration 

The Music of Prince is hitting the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre tonight at 7:30pm. The show is a celebration of one of the most loved artists of all time. The New Purple Celebration will deliver a non-stop 2-hour hit packed extravaganza, where you can expect to hear and feel all of the hits from the world renowned, Prince.

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra: Eastern Promise 

The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will be coming to Bournemouth’s Pavilion Theatre this Saturday 18th January with their new show Eastern Promise. The performance will feature a selection of Khachaturian classics along with Schubert’s famous unfinished symphony.

Coastal Comedy 

Keith Farnan, previously seen on Micheal Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow, will be headlining the Coastal Comedy at The Lighthouse this Saturday 18th. The show includes support acts from South-London comedian Rosie Wilby and winner of the  South Coast Comedian Of The Year in 2019, Dinesh Nathan.

The show starts at 8pm and you can buy tickets on the Lighthouse ticket page.

Jack and the Beanstalk 

Highcliffe Charity Players bring their Jack and The Beanstalk Panto to Christchurch’s Regent Centre. The Panto kicks off tomorrow and is being performed from the 18th January to the 25th January with both afternoon and evening performances.
