It’s estimated by UNICEF that 40,000 children in the Democratic Republic of Congo work in artisanal cobalt mines, but what are the conditions like?

American journalist Sebastian Meyer describes what he saw when he visited a government-controlled mine back in 2018, while Human Rights activist with Amnesty International, Christian Rumu, visited last year to see if any progress had been made…
