Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries are a common occurrence in women’s football, and there is mounting concern as to how many elite female players suffer this career-threatening injury every season.  Kickstart Period Talk is a documentary that investigates ACL injuries within women’s football, with a specific focus as to whether a player’s menstrual cycle can affect their risk of injury.

Presenter, Anna Minter, takes you on a journey as she tries to find out more about the science behind the research, and how coaches at higher levels use period tracking to prevent injury. The documentary features interviews with Crystal Palace striker Ashlee Hincks, Fitrwoman sport physiologist Esther Goldsmith and Yeovil United FC’s Head of Performance Ewan Greenhill.
