It is estimated that 1 in 4 new dog owners in the U.K may have purchased their dog from a puppy farm throughout the first national lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic.
The dogs bred in these conditions often suffer from medical and behavioural complications, which are estimated to cost the U.K £400 million in vet bills to treat and supply vital vaccinations often missed by their breeders.
