A documentary about the growing cases of deepfake pornography being created and used as intimate image abuse.
The documentary is to educate people on how this new technology can be used and weaponised in other ways than politics, by humiliating both men and women via sexual image abuse which can leave people with PTSD and anxiety and raise awareness of the fact that in the UK and most of the world this is not currently illegal but can have serious consequences.
The documentary talks to a victim of deepfake image abuse, a UK based charity about the laws in the UK around intimate image abuse and an expert in computer animation and AI technology about other ways the technology can be used, and his concerns for the future.
