If the Prime Minister’s roadmap goes to plan, we could see a return to live music in Dorset in the summer.
Fancy’s Farm on Portland is set to host Fancy’s Farm Music Festival on 3 July.
The Line-up includes The Leggomen, Tequila Mockingbird, Matt Black and many more.
Festival coordinator, Bob Brown said: “It’s all local. That’s our whole aim: local musicians, local businesses, local arts and crafts.
“We’re coming out of lockdown. Let’s make it happy, let’s make it colourful. Let’s allow people to come out and enjoy themselves and have a lovely day.”
The goal of the festival is to raise funds to help feed the animals because the farm has been forced to shut its doors to visitors during the pandemic. It relies on donations from the public.
Fancy’s Farm is the home to many animals including wallabies, alpacas and even a small flock of Portland sheep.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the initial festival was cancelled, but the team decided to take the event virtual.
“We organised a virtual sort of open mic. We raised a couple of hundred quid for the farm, which was good. But the ultimate aim was to do something live at the farm itself.”
Tickets start at £12 for adults and £6 for children.
