AN investment of £100,000 has been proposed for Winton Library Gardens in order to upgrade play facilities for young children and for extensive landscaping on the site.
In a report to the Environment and Economy Overview and Scrutiny Panel, head of the Parks Department, Michael Rowland, recommended the gardens, that have been shut to the public for over a year, be considered for development should funding become available.
Green Party Councillor, Simon Bull, has been campaigning to re-open the space to the public.
