Christmas come early? How to take care of your festive tree

November 30, 2021 //  by SamBurgess//  Leave a Comment

Covid encouraged more people to purchase their Christmas trees earlier last year.

Following a previously challenging christmas for everyone due to covid circumstances, Ross a christmas tree seller – discussed how the pandemic benefitted his business in 2020.

“Last year being covid we did a special deal, £30 for every tree”

This year there isn’t a set price, instead a range that starts from £20 onwards depending on the size and shape of the tree.

The British Christmas Tree Growers Association offer memberships to the community, they aim to promote sales of quality, UK grown Christmas trees alongside tips on ‘How to care for your tree’.

Some top tips for keeping it green:

Care- Your tree should be watered and cared for, just as you would for any house plant.

Fresh–If possible choose a freshly cut tree.

Plan- If you’re not setting up your tree straight away, place it in a bucket of water in a sheltered spot in your garden or garage until you’re ready to bring it inside to decorate.
