AFC Bournemouth’s Under-18s side progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over fellow Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.

The Cherries were backed by a 891 strong home crowd at the Vitality Stadium.

Goals in each half from Daniel Adu Adjei and Noa Boutin was enough to see them through.

Match Report

The home side were dominant throughout, and went ahead after just three minutes when Adu Adjei tucked away his 11th goal of the season.

Alan Connell’s side could have been home and dry by half time but were guilty of spurning some big chances on the stroke of half time.

QPR started the second half strong with large spells of possession but created very few chances.

The Cherries grew back into the game creating a number of good chances.

In the 76th minute Boutin gave the home side a two goal advantage when he broke into the penalty area to put it past QPR goalkeeper Salamon.

A number of First Team players came along to show their support including Chris Mepham, Leif Davis and fan favourite Jefferson Lerma.

AFC Bournemouth will now take on either Leicester City of Crewe Alexandra in the Fifth Round.
