A parent of a secondary school student in Bournemouth is ‘worried’ for the new restrictions.

This comes after Boris Johnson’s official spokesperson said teachers should follow guidelines to not wear face masks.

Alexander Garcia said: “Why is this a good idea? Whats’ the point?

“Before Christmas the school saw an issue in the lack of staff and my son was out of school for a week.

“I worry this will happen again as we have not seen a drastic drop in cases.

“I don’t understand how this is a good idea as children are often transmitters of Covid-19.”

The 57 year old added, “I don’t trust the decisions being made by leaders regarding this crisis due to past actions.”

He is also worried that his child will be put back into “remote learning.”
