It was reported by Dorset police that on Sunday January 9th, at around 6:50pm two masked men broke into an address on Stedman Road. One of the men, armed with a knife, demanded money and drugs from the elderly occupant.
The elderly occupier was punch in the chest four times before suffering a panic attack, while a neighbour. A neighbour, who came to investigate the disturbance, was pinned up against the wall and held at knife point.
The suspects have been described as Asian, in their 20’s with London accents.
Detective Constable Katie Hetherington, of Bournemouth CID said that it is unclear why the address was targeted and that a full investigation is underway.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Stedman Road at the relevant time and heard or saw something suspicious to please contact Dorset Police,” she says.
“I would also ask residents and motorists to please check their home CCTV and dashcam for any footage and get in touch if they have anything that may assist our enquiries.
“I understand this incident will cause concern among local residents and I would like to reassure them that officers from the local neighbourhood policing team are aware and will be continuing with their patrols.”
