Poole will then face Plymouth for the second leg at Wimborne Road the following day.
A week later, on Wednesday 13th April, the Pirates look to defend their SGB Championship title with a trip to Birmingham for their first league fixture of 2022.
Wimborne Road will see it’s first home league fixture since beating Glasgow Tigers in early November of last year to claim the SGB Championship title and secure a league and cup double.
This will be the Pirates second season in the British Speedway’s second tier, after fans opted to return to a larger league format.
Pirates’ season is preceded by a Bjarne Pedersen farewell on the 30th March. The Dane won three league titles with Pirates and is the second highest points scorer in their history.
Pirates round the season off by welcoming Redcar to Wimborne Road on Wednesday 17th August.
