Around eighty cars were showcased at the Classic Cars on the Promenade over the weekend.
Some of the classic cars on display included Rolls-Royces and Morris cars.
The Classic Cars on the Promenade event is hosted by Bournemouth and Poole Preservation Club working in collaboration with BCP council and occurs every month from November to May.
The cars featured at the event are all pre-2001 and assembled behind the BIC on the West Overcliff Promenade.
According to the coordinator, Ashley Miller, the event was deemed as a great success.
“We’re very happy with the turn out, considering how many cars we’ve got here, so we are very happy.”
“This is our first winter season here since we started in 2000. We usually run from April to September so it’s our fourth winter event here and everybody is very happy.”
The event raises money for local charities such as RNLI, Beach lifeguards of Poole Bay and Dorset and Langside School for Disabled children.
Dave Osborne, who owns one of the classic cars being displayed said: “It’s a good chance to catch up with everybody and see what everyone else has been doing.
We can have a little chat about cars, it’s just a good morning out really. The kids love it too.”
The public are welcome to bring cars of their own to showcase at the next event which will take place on the 13th of February from 11 am-2 pm behind the BIC on the West Overcliff Promenade.
