BCP Council are considering introducing three new Public Space Protection Orders in coastal areas and open spaces.
PSPO’s are used for councils to restrict certain activities which lead to anti-social behaviours.
The council are giving the opportunity for residents to give their views on this new introduction.
It’s hoped that this could help people enjoy public spaces without issues.
A public consultation on wether the PSPO’s should be introduced to help BCP council’s approach to anti-social behaviours is now live.
The initiative will help to enhance the beaches, open spaces and carparks.
There will be three separate PSPO’s covering different geographical areas and different behaviours.
With the proposal, a ban on overnight camping and sleeping will be in place within the specified coastal and beachfront areas as well as in open spaces in parks.
