Nelson Court Resident ‘disheartened’ with delayed construction in Poole

Resident living in Nelson Court left ‘disheartened’ with the construction in Poole.

Refurbishment works have been taking place on four 11 story tower blocks in Poole.

Areas include Drake, Grenville court, Nelson court and Rodney court.

Redevelopment started in August 2020 with no clear end date.

Resident of Nelson Court, Cathy, said :”I don’t know when it’s coming to an end.

“There’s no outside space, the flats are cold, it needs to finish now.”

Another resident of Nelson Court, Sharon, said :”It’s disheartening.

“It’s disgusting because nothing is happening.

“We can’t put heating on because of all the gaps.

“Lounge is freezing and it’s dark all the time inside.”

Sharon questions why there was no survey done a few years ago and said :”They’ve wasted money with scaffolding cost.”

United Living declined a comment.
