Matias Viña is all set for a loan move to AFC Bournemouth, BUzz News understands.
The Cherries are already expecting to bring in Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson and now AS Roma’s Viña is expected to join the Dorset club on loan until the end of the season. The defender is expected to be in the UK in the next 48 hours to finalise the deal.
Famed football transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano also suggests there could be an option to buy the player at the end of the season but the clause is not mandatory. The initial fee is €1million.

The defender has only made three appearances this season under Jose Mourinho, and has been deemed surplus to requirements in the Italian capital with Leonardo Spinazzola, Stephan El-Shaarawy and Nicola Zalewski all ahead of the Uruguayan for the left-back spot.
Viña was also a member of Uruguay’s World Cup squad, where he played 15 minutes for the South American side. He has played a total of 28 times for his country.
Despite only playing a handful of games this season, the left back was a prominent part of Roma’s team last year, after joining from Brazilian side Palmeiras in August 2021.
The 25-year-old would provide healthy competition for Jordan Zemura who is the club’s only first-team left back. With his international experience, he could play a vital part in steering Bournemouth clear of relegation.
