Midfielder Kenni Thompson has joined AFC Bournemouth Women from Spanish side Eibar.

The Bermuda winger joins the Cherries after previously playing in England for both Chelsea and London Bees.

Thompson brings a range of experience to the Steve Cuss’s side with her youth career spent playing for both Espanyol and Barcelona.

Recently Kenni also broke into the Bermuda national team where she starred in a 4-0 win over Jersey at the Island games.

With Thompson just arriving back into England, afcb.co.uk caught up with the new signing: “I’m finding it very cold and very windy! It’s a great group of girls though and I really enjoyed my first session. Promotion is always the number one goal, but we know we need to win all of the games to get there and I’m here to try and help that.”

Thompson is in line to make her debut this weekend as the Cherries take on Bridgewater in the National League.
