On Wednesday morning, Dan Evans was beaten 2-1 by Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik to bow out of the Adelaide International
After an impressive straight sets win against Rinky Hijikata, Evans came into the game hoping to progress into the quarter finals.
Evans started the game strong overcoming 8th seed Bublik in the first set winning 6 games to 4.
With Evans knowing another set would secure his place in the last 8, he powered on but Alexander was too powerful for the British national picking up set 2 and 3 too cement his place in the quarter finals
An impressive performance from Bublik who had 21 aces in the match, as he looks a hot contender to go all the way.
