The Extinction Rebellion group takes action against Bournemouth Council.
Extinction Rebellion BCP braved the cold last night, raising awareness around the climate crisis and biodiversity on the local political agenda.
The group, who stood together in minus two degrees temperatures, assembled outside the Bournemouth Civic Centre to greet local councillors to their monthly meeting.
Some members of the group posed questions in the council chamber regarding government policies that impact the climate crisis.
The team pressed councillors about new policy options surrounding sustainability and zero carbon through building plans and the delivery of affordable housing.
The team was joined by members of the XR BCP Rhythms, who brought the noise and filled the street with chants and drumming.
Using non violent, direct action and civil disobedience, the group aims to persuade governments to act justly on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.
