Winton Cricket club chairman Brian Dobson has spoken about potential investment into English county cricket.
This comes after news broke that Hampshire Cricket Club are looking for an investor to take over as majority stake shareholder.
Delhi Capitals owner has expressed his interest in the club which could see the first ever investment into county cricket from overseas.
Brian Dobson was positive about what the deal could mean for English cricket:”
If you look at the number of Indian community’s in the Uk it’s got to be a good thing and it’s got to be inclusive. So, I cant see how it’s a problem provided they go about it the right way .
“And if you see the Indian communities and how much they enjoy it and how they demonstrate that they enjoy it you would really welcome their investment. ”
Hampshire Cricket spoke to Buzz news to provide an update on the situation:” “Whilst it is true that the Company is fully engaged in some detailed negotiations regarding investment, the nature and content of any such investigations are subject to formal Non-Disclosure Agreements which the Company is bound to observe. To date, we have concluded no formal binding agreements other than NDAs.
