The Lord Wimborne Wetherspoons reopened today after a £850,000 refurbishment.

The pub in Poole welcomed back locals this morning and debuted their new look.

The pub has been a huge part of Poole’s community for over 20 years.

The newly refurbished pub on Lagland Street offers updated décor, a second coffee machine, and enhanced facilities for faster service and family-friendly dining.

Kevin Young, the pub manager, expressed the team’s pleasure about having customers enjoy the renovated area, pointing out that the improvements demonstrate Wetherspoons’ commitment to providing long-term service to the Poole community.

The reopening of The Lord Wimborne has created 10 new part-time jobs to add to its team as it welcomes locals back.

Bartender Luca Hennings said: “It’s great to see the pub back to being busy”.

He added: “The new bar equipment means faster service for customers and it’s less taxing on the staff.”

Facilities for staff behind the scenes have also been built. There has also been a complete renovation of the accessible, male, and female restrooms.

Janette Wilkinson, a local at the pub, said: “It was sad to see the pub closed for the month, but it was worth the wait.

“This pub has always been a place I can reconnect with my friends, so I’m very happy its back.”

After this morning’s busy start, staff hope to see the community come back together once again.

The Lord Wimborne is open throughout the week from 8am to 12am, with food and drink served all through the day.
