Record numbers of runners will lace up for a beachside run on Sunday, as the annual Bournemouth half marathon returns.
The race will start at Hengistbury Head and will make its way along the shore, ultimately finishing at the famous Bournemouth Pier.
The sun is due to be shining over the South Coast’s runners, with temperatures hitting 12°C.
Bournemouth resident Rosie Peech, 19, has raised over £150 in sponsorship and is looking to complete the race in under two hours.
Peech said: “I’ve been running for a few months now and thought this would be a good opportunity to challenge myself and also raise some money for a good cause.”
“My family are all coming down as are my friends and I’m sure they’ll be bringing the noise.”
The run will be starting at 11am and looks to be a fantastic occasion.
